BREAK IDEAS!

Summer break is a great opportunity for you and your child to reconnect, learn and have fun! Some ideas for spending quality time together and also tying in some learning opportunities are:

-Go to a baseball game together
(discuss things like keeping score, the different colleges and countries of the players, and have fun!)

-Get outside
(talk about the weather here in New England and how it is different from other parts of the country and world, and have fun!)
-Board games. (inside or outside)
You shouldn't be bored! Lots of board games promote learning aboust such things as geography, money, math, and history. Plus the bonding that it offers is priceless.
-Read, read, and read some more!
Go to the library and get a ton of books. Read books out loud, act out stories, dress-up and become your favorite characters, and have fun!
-Talk!
(Talk to your child and get to know them a little better. Find out if their interests have changed. What are they into now!
